The full text of these Regulations may be downloaded via the following link to the Office of Public Sector Information website.

As a standard, we also do 3 additional Risk Assessments for 3 good reasons :-

HSE - Health & Safety Guidance publication HSG 227 Risk effects of the location of the material
Assesses :-
Normal occupant activity
Likelihood of disturbance
Human exposure potential
Maintenance activity
And gives :-
a hazard rating allowing for the likelyhood of material damage, dust release and human contact.

The Sawyer Algorithm Similar to MDHS 100 + HSG 227, but importantly, also allows for the level of asbestos content in the sampled material
Assesses :-
Accessibility
Asbestos content
Asbestos type
Condition
Location
Nature
Damage susceptibility
Surface treatment
And gives :-
a hazard rating allowing for the likelyhood of material damage, dust release and human contact and the percentage of asbestos involved.

Remedial Treatment Risk Risks which may be incurred in removing or treating the material
Assesses :-
The probability of and effects of hazards involved in carrying out the recommended treatment.
And itemises :-
Controls to be put in place,
Other requirements
and the
Date of next inspection.
